REMEMBER THIS LAST WEEK WELL I FOUND IT very low milage w124 m111 engine i have the oil level light coming on dimly and flickering changed the switch for genuine merc one ,oil has only done 800 mile and the level is correct any ideas why connecting wires on to the purge valve wire connection pushed together and of went the light for oil level senser

SURE ITS NOT THE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT? - SENSOR IS LOCATED AT REAR OF CYLINDER HEAD-TRY CLEANING THE CONNECTOR- YOU MAY HAVE A BAD CONNECTION/WIRING CAUSING A VOLTAGE DROP SOMEWHERE

the w124 m111 engine ,it has a oil pressure gauge and a oil level sensor

Last time i had the oil ligh show up the reason was , after doing an oil change the oil i put in was not enough .Oil showed on bottom line on dip stick when i checked it . .Filling it a little at a time until the max mark did the trick --no light . Dont over fill it . You might find this valuable Model 124 Maintenance Manual Index .
