Oil Sensor

Car in question:
2002 51 plate clk 320 elegance auto coupe

Got a little screen in the dash speedo area that comes up with malfunctions now and then, all been good but today got one that says engine oil sensor visit workshop. And another shortly after saying check oil level.

Oil checked on the manual dipstick is clean and full to just under the max.

Anyone know how serious this is or if it is a major fix.

i had that , it was caused by salty water on the wiring from when the weather was bad , after a blast with clean water it stopped happening
