Oil top up..Advice needed

    My alert on the dash board says add 1.5 litres of oil...Ive added 1.5 litres and still it says add 1.5 litres...Anyone know why.

    oil level sensor? fits in the sump and possibly not working as it should. Get it checked out at your local dealer or workshop. DONT keep putting more and more oil in.

    Sorry langa, I don't mean to be rude here, but another possibility is that you've put the oil somewhere else. Call me stupid by all means but I have to mention the possibility.
    Also, are you waiting for the car to stand half an hour before checking on the dash (and perhaps between checks)?

    Also, the car has to be on the level. Even a slight incline could give a false reading.

    Hi stupid...oil put in engine refiller cap...Er i think so!.
