Old SLK - drivers window outside of rubber

Evening all.
Just bought an old R170 SLK 1998. The drivers window sits outside the rubber and it makes a lot wind noise. The passenger side is fine. Looks like the glass is misaligned in the door; is this common? I've had a search around and not got far.
