OM603 valve seals done and it knocks

as stated done the job today, replaced cooper o-rings and washers, torqued up 30Nm, loosened, 30- loosened and final 35Nm. didn't disturb anything else down there as was really carefull. cranked it for some time without fuellines to clear debris. and now it is knocking quite badly?? why?? do i need to do something else?? it use to be knocking a bit when cold before that job but today i took it for a run 30 mins and it still knocks quite bad. please help:dk:
 
Anyone knows what I messed up? Should I try injector cleaner Or something? It's defo injectors nailing, but it wasn't that bad before the job, it was actually very smooth/quiet once up to temp.
 
Theres an article about this job on MercedesSource if you google it (sorry I can't create a link on my phone) which describes just this problem. You may well have got dirt into the system.

My 210 is in the garage having this job at the minute, the engine is knocking a bit and the seals leaking pretty badly, I doubt it's unrelated
