Hello,
Looking for a bit of advice please. Have a C200 CDI Auto (2010, 125k miles) in with a very noisy chain on start up. I suspect this is going to need a new chain, tensioner, guides, sprockets as it is very noisy on start up, even when hot. Does anyone know whether the engine can be removed leaving the auto box in situ, or will I need to remove the auto box and then the engine assy? I will check the guides in the next day or so as I am aware that the chain and tensioner alone can be renewed with the engine in (that being the case I'll pass it on to an Indie specialist as I don't have the genuine MB riveter), but gut instinct tells me it's likely to need guides as well.
If anyone can advise that will be much appreciated .
Thank you
