OM651 220 VS 250 Reliability

Hello

I am just considering looking into a new car (Not the near future).
I currently have a C220 with the OM651 and am most likely going to go for the same engine for the next car as in my case at least it has been extremely reliable.

I saw the options between the z220 and z250 and was wondering if there is any difference in reliability. I know that timing chains, Fuel injectors and occasionally water pumps go wrong but does the 30 ish extra horse power in the 250 affect the reliability maybe in a negative or positive way compared to the 220 variant?

Answering your question on how many extra horsepower it has.

The thread suggests close to the stock 167bhp for the 220, and around 182bhp for the 250 (not the 200-something claimed)


so the reliability effect of that 15bhp is.... not much
