Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere.
Has anyone taken a car engine OM651.901 and fitted it to a Sprinter?
If so what were the difficulties.
My engine is toast and not worth repairing, and I have been offered a low mileage C220 car engine.
I have searched the Web and asked local garages...all say its the same, just all ancillaries need changed over. I have taken pictures of block etc and they seem similar with the exception that the turbos drain is in a different position. Mine is a twin turbo with drain into forward side of block...car turbo drain appears towards rear of block.Can this just be extended?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
