OM651 Engine Variants (Flood damged GLC250d)

I've just bought a cheap GLC250d low mileage 2016 from a friend - his wife accidently drove it through a "large puddle" and water got into the intake and killed it.. (assume bent rods) - I understand this is a OM651 (DE 22 LA variant) but I'm curious if anybody would know please if there are any physical variations of the OM651 or is it literally turbo and map changes?
