Hi there,
I bought my 2018 cls 350d a couple of months ago. The car is currently 62k miles and has perfect service history - 4 times all by MB dealers, the last one was in Aug 2022 with 54k. I had not checked the oil level when I bought this car, but after a 1000 miles trip, I noticed the oil was slightly below the minimum at the dashboard (but without adding an oil warning), then I top-up 1L oil to the engine to about 1/3 above the minimum level. After about 600 miles, I found the oil level decreased to the minimum again! I think this means the oil consumption could be 1L/1500-2000 miles.
Is this oil consumption excessive? And can it cause a problem for DPF? The engine seems running fine, no error code or smoke from the exhaust can be spotted.
Thanks
