As the title says really - i have followed the great advice here and have a home network now and i want to make sure its backed up. I was hoping for an on-line back up just in case the worst happens (i.e. flood etc as i'm near the river).

Any pointers on who is good, not too much money but who defintiely allows you to back up a separate drive? I've looked at Mozy Pro who say they allow it but i would pefer a UK company in case i need to call for customer service. The UK ones that alow a network drive back up seem to be geared up for businesses and charge about £30 a month!

Thanks :thumb:

I use Mozy Pro and am quite impressed. Been able to recover individual file versions has also proved helpful.

I use Paragon Drive backup 10 under Vista. It's really clever it can backup the complete system while it's running.

So saying I haven't needed to try a recovery so I could be backing up junk:-)

I back up to an external drive that is then put somwhere safe.

+1 for Mozy. Use it at home and for the work network. Home version is a fixed price with unlimited backup. Version 2 which is just released will back up both to a local drive and online so you're pretty bulletproof. $4.95 a month with discount for long term contract.
