Boy do I have an itch to scratch ((The S320 CDI can wait)(I've had a "normal" 300CE but the 24vs really fly)) All the electrics work, Ive checked with Jon and it seems a really good buy.

I don't think looking after a W124 is going to be too much of an issue for you ...

    Scratch the itch..

FWIW, I think it's a better option for you than a W220 S320 at your time, for your needs. Take inspiration from Del320. His car is one that I would buy in a heartbeat.

Just a little too much Californian Red (Boy I know how to live) the right side of me to make a solid bid right now. Anyhoo I'd have to sell my 300D (as per avatar) to help "soften" the cost of the medication required to sooth my itch. I do get so much joy from my 300D too and so much hard work has gone in to that car.

Probably colour cast of the camera but that looks to be Midnight Blue [904] not Blue Black to me. 199 is the colour code for Blue Black but still??

He has his own. Better spec as his has cruise. I think it would be pushing friendship a bit too far but I will ask:devil::thumb:

I found another in the UK cheaper too. Again, not as good as this one but it has potential.

    Thanks for the idea though

    Heads for "for sale"

    Edir.

Went back as far as "June" Must have missed it. I do think the 24v 300 has the drop on the 320. I have driven both and there is just "something" about the 24v that does it for me. Sorry GFP.

That is very nice. Would you believe I prefer a tin top.

Off to see it? Dangerous, very dangerous. Ill be having a word with my buddy Ian first. If I loose it, it will be the one that got away forever. Slight detracting point for me the black inside is a sombre place to be. I know the car in my avatar is all black inside.

Hi guys - big thank you to trapperjohn for getting in touch with me

thats my CE for sale, it's definately DB199 and the paint is fantastic for a 19 year old vehicle with a real metallic look to the paint.

I think I know what trapperjohn means about the drive on the 24v models - there is a real urgency about the engine over 4.5k and the sound as she gets towards the redline is fabulous.

I'm realistic about the pricing and will take offers on her as she needs to go to a new home (taking up space on drive where the company car should go ! !)

many thanks for the interest - I hope she goes to a W124 enthusiast as its to nice to be run into the ground.

    cheers - Tb (jon) :bannana:

    Hi Jon.

I'm still in "dither" mode as you can tell. My car as per Avatar will have to go to part finance yours.

Lets hope yours goes to a forum member and soon for you.

    Good Luck.

    CHEERS
