When paying by credit card they add £2.50 for the privallage.

Is that per Tax disc or per transaction as it should be - or can you only pay for 1 Tax disc at a time anyway ?

Adam

Only one disc at a time, so therefore each transaction!
Best use a Debit Card...

The latter I believe...

best use the post office. The way they are loosing/ selling info, your details might end up on someones doorstep

I agree, my details fould their way to a fraudster after paying online with a debit card for my tax disc.

Thanks, I spend enough time sittlng in ques of traffic. Not sure I want to spend the rest of my day waiting for mrs claimant and her 16 bags of Ebay parcels - none of them pre weighed, or aunty Ethel and her TV license enquiry. Guess it's pay the extra for cc and have done with it.Cheers , Adam

Agreed....on line purchase of tax disc just so easy...no messing about getting insurance and mot details.....just go on line, enter your code and there it is....pay by debit card and do not get charged extra....

Should use post office but by time I factor in the cost of fuel to drive there, parking, my time etc, easier to do on line!

As others have mentioned, online is so much easier (and I don't need to dig around for my mot certificate!)

That said, I would insist on paying by credit-card... I would never, ever use a debit card on any computer... there just isn't that level of protection should something go wrong...

And pay £2 for petrol to get there
70p for parking
and £2 petrol home again.....

:dk:

well mine is next to me so i do not need to pay £2 to get there. 70p for parking and £2 petrol to get home again.
it also means no agency has my financial details to make mistakes with that may take years to clear up.
Everyone does what suits them, i was just offering my own point of view . Sorry for the advice , i withdraw it.

Recycled..... I wasn't arguing with your suggestion.....

If your Post Office is convenient, then that's great. Not everyone is so lucky.

For me, it's a 15 minutes drive into the town centre, 10 minutes to find a Pay & Display space and 15 minutes back.

They closed the Post Office in our village last year. Now we don't even have a post box.

It's part of the price you pay for being in the countryside. I've got to pay a cheque in today (sold a caravan-hurray!) and it's going to take an hour there and back.

I'm back.

OK... i stopped for fish & chips on the way... but a round trip of not much less than 2 hours. All to pay in a cheque.

Mind you, the fish was good mmmmmmmmm

(Normally, we only take card payments... but it was a Building Society cheque...)
