Because it's probably a money pit and the owner knows it needs shed loads spent on it to bring it back to how it should be!

Well all know that a cheap car can be expensive and an expensive car can be cheap

That car will never be worth what any prospective owner buys it at and plus what needs to be spend upon it

Ther will be far better "value" out there

That was a stipulation from the missus when buying my SL, the answer is yes, but not a full size one.

3.5k is an "ok" price to pay for a running one. yes i bet its as rotton as mine under the skin, but if someone can fix it up themselves like me (ie no labour charges) then it will be worth doing if they buy it around that price IMO.

definatly a project though - you probably wouldnt want to use it much until some things are sorted on it.

remember these are around £7k to £15 for a pre-facelift one in very good nick. - even then i'd be skeptical.

as i've said before my one came from a well known/respected specialist dealer just two years before i got it - all the rust would of been there then, and all the horrible bodged repairs i've had to remove and redo.
