A2113200925 For Mercedes E211 S211 (T-Model) Rear Air Suspension Spring Airbag | eBay

At £126 each, certainly a keen price. I'd rather have MB original or Arnott, but finances dictate otherwise nowadays. Only *need* one, but seems to make sense to replace both?

P.S. Whilst part number is correct, they mention "2 pin" (there are also listing for 3 pin) Is there a way of confirming they are OK for my car without having to examine the existing ones? Can provide VIN if needed

I wouldn't, China product, private listing for feedback and some negative for them.

You did ask :)

Point taken. I recall a post on here where someone suggested Arnott - anybody come across keen pricing? ANy other manufacturers I could consider?

Arnott are around £470 a pair. Air Spring, suspension Arnott A-2726 Rear — Buy now!

You can also try Aerosus which are cheaper...

A pair of Aerosus units is £333 (scroll down on link below and there is an option for 10% off if you buy a pair)

Many thanks. Are the Aerosus units a good compromise?

I’ve heard of some members using them - but if it were me I would go with Arnott.

Anybody who has purchased Arnott know if there is any branding on them to prove they are indeed Arnott? Mine have arrived, but no branding and no paperwork, install instructions etc. saying Arnott. Cheers!

Mine came in Arnott boxes with instructions and new air fittings in an A4 plastic bag.

2 and 3 pin may refer to cars without or with ADS?- thats a guess.;)

Correct. 2 pin ones are for estate rear self levelling suspension whilst 3 pin are for the full airmatic. I used Arnotts on my S211 and they have been great. The only issue I had was with one of the push fit Voss air connectors popping out as I didn't trim the end of the pipe first. Trim it, push it in then a slight tug to lock it in the connector and the jobs a "good un".

I would avoid all the aftermarket bellows. We have had umpteen issues with them. Get the reman genuine Mercedes bellows and enjoy hassle free fitment.

I bought and fitted Aerosus air suspension units on my S212 over 3 years ago.

They solved the problem and have been perfect ever since.

They were less than half the price of the genuine MB ones and significantly cheaper than the Arnotts equivalent.

They are awkward to fit -- I did mine on the driveway with one side up on axle stands as I did it.
Did it in early January too it was very cold -- so cold that my phone camera refused to operate !!?

Perhaps in deciding whether to go for pattern parts or pucka MB -- owners should factor in the labour element of any repair which will be significant. If they are DIY ing then premature failure of a replacement part does not represent the same monetary loss- just their time and possibly the part also if there's a problem with part warranty. For the professional workshop wanting to minimise customer comeback you can see the appeal of using warranted MB parts whose supply chain is traceable  [ I suspect that counterfeiting may be a problem for the European aftermarket suppliers ]

That is a very valid point.
A workshop having to do it twice would end up costing them lots more time and get them a bad reputation (even though they might have being trying to save the customer some money).

I wouldn't be enthused to do it again but neither would I be frightened by the job.
