Hi, does anyone know if there is an online tool that can decipher the optional extras on a car from the VIN number or would I have to speak to MB?
Many thanks

I would like to know the same, however I have only found the Russian one and I cannot work out how to change it to English.

Here's a link to one of the Russian websites Ìîäåëü
Enter your VIN, click Search and then click on the 'Map Data' button which appears in the top right hand corner.

If you are using IE browser, you will need to download Google Toolbar and set it to automatically translate other languages into English.

Google Chrome can also be set to translate other languages. I have IE 11 & Chrome installed on my PC, both work ok.

Alternatively, post your VIN number up here and someone will check and post the details I'm sure.

If you join the "Official" MB UK Owners club, for 35 quid pa you get access to the MB EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue) & WIS (Workshop Information System), both of which will allow you to view the datacard of any MB VIN.

It's cheaper to pay MB to use the EPC, which then allows Datacard searches.

A dealer will (should) give you an Oasis printout, which shows factory build dates, ship/dealer dates (if you're interested in that stuff) along with the build spec, a list of options and option costs.

They will ask you to prove ownership before releasing the data.
