Ordered a C63 Today

They were silver, just the phone pics distorted!
Does the rear spoiler unscrew or is it a glued item that ill have to have a few tramadol before attempting!

Pilotprice.
Your username is amusing, but would have been even better as Pricepilot.

Or even, Ben Price

Don't worry, I wasn't taking the rise out of your name.
There is a long standing point about leasers being "pilots" and the lowest price is a regular question, usually for just the model you have ordered.

i have the iridium silver C63 with the carbon exterior pack. I have also added a carbon rear 'diffuser'. Goes well with the silver. Will go for 19" black if i decide to keep the car. Currently option 18" which are fine but, obviously, they don't fill the arches as good as the 19's

Diesel, no offence taken, I understood your post to be in gest!

Aquanout, do you have any pictures you would like to share?!

Think there stuck on with the 3m tape. Yeah that's the reason Ive been putting off doing mine.

I am probably in the minority but I think the titanium 19"s are probably one of the nicest alloys that I have ever seen. If they were just silver I would have probably agreed.

They do need to be looked at in the flesh on a sunny day after being treated to a layer of g techniq.

So much nicer than the black ones which look too small to me due to the silver rim.

+1 on the black wheels looking small. And what is g techniq?

I think it's a sealant type product, can't wait now, told my gf I want a remap and a carbon rear spoiler for my birthday (day I collect the motor) and she just walked off! Presume that to be a yes!

Also later models IIRC 2012> have the MCT box which is better than the original C63 box.

It's not quick, but it's no slouch. I've driven many a DSG / DCT car and although it's not as fast or clever it's fine in C for cruising (in fact better then DSG IMO) and in S+ or M it's really good.

Sometimes it does get confused on downshifts but if the revs are right its usually fine.

IMO the best auto's out there are the 8 speed ZF box.

With regard remaps, i was 100% sure that I would Eurocharge or DMS my car when I got it having remapped my previous 2 135i's. But having driven now for 8 months I've never felt it lacking in power.

After driving the E63 and SLS I did reconsider but I think it's fine as it is... may think differently if I encounter an A45 on the road ;-)

Carbon rear spoiler AND a remap !! That's potentially £1000 worth of birthday present !!

Yep it is, search on here for it.

Lots in the Detailing threads.

Gtechniq C5 - Wheel Armour - Clean Your Car

Can't believe how good it is actually, my wife's car has similar wheels on her A220 and her's always look dirty, mine always clean and when I do jet wash them the brake dust and dirt comes off really easy. I do wash my car every 7-10 days though.

Ideally needs applying every 6 months but mine has been on for 8k miles and 8 months and still works. Going to do apply it again before winter too.

Pretty simple application process too.

18s are far to small on the car. the 19s are perfect. Anyone who thinks the ride is harsh on the 19s is kidding themselves and has never been in a bm sport car or an audi s-line car. They have much firmer rides.

J.

I have had five Audis and have 18 inch wheels on my C63 PPP. I wouldn't have the bigger wheels, they look nicer to some eyes, but I prefer to be able to see when driving, rather than having my eyeballs fall out when going over a moderately bumpy surface, like, say, a British road.

No problems with the 19's for me after 20k miles.
Degenerative disc or not!

Get it Eurocharged and it will turn into a completley different animal and put even a bigger smile on your face :thumb:

Agreed. Bearing in mind what this car is capable of it is the most compliant ride of its peers. We spent 30-odd hours in the car blasting around Europe and certainly didn't have aching eyeballs...

19's look great and I have the two tone silver ones and I don't think tyre prices are all that bad either.

Enjoy the car!
