Called into local tyre specialist (Ashton Tyres) and got myself some Goodyear eagle F1s asymmetric 3.
Gone for normal tyres and got myself a jack compressor and a can of tyre repair yucky stuff.

Impressed with the price £216.00 for both fitted and swapped my fronts to backs as well.

With the money I saved buying normal tyres I got the jack and all the other bit and bobs for what I would of paid buying runflats.

Best price I could get on run flats £160.00 Perreil for the Goodyear eagles £175.00 and to put continentals back on they was £168.00

Hi Ben

Interesting, as I have runflats (Bridgestone Portenza) on my S205.

Have you only swapped the runflats on one axle or done all 4 tyres (didn't know if you've previously swapped out the other 2?)?

Also, do you know if you have to notify your insurance, assuming it originally left the factory with the runflats?

Mine don't need replacing just yet but for the fronts (225/45/R18 95Y XL), replacement Bridgstones varied in price from £200 each to £154 fitted! On a recent service, the MB dealership quoted nearer £260 each - I know where I won't be going.

Hi Phil I got a good deal with Black Friday £108.00 each they are normally £180.oo.
I have just had the fronts replaced and got them to swap fronts to backs.
I'll be changing thsee to when they are worn down.
MB quoted me £320.00 for like for like continentals
Cheers
Ben

PS why do I need to inform my insurance company that I have changed my tyres ?

I haven't done anyway
