Ok, bear with me, this may sound like a strange question but here goes.

I picked up my new (to me) CLK 320CDi Sport two weeks ago. The Sport seems to have had orthopedic seats as standard, which consist of a number of inflatable cushions: one either side of the backrest, an upper and lower lumbar support and a front seat extender (under the knees).

As I understand it, the latter should "grow" forwards to give additional support, as opposed to upwards (which would seem to be the purpose of the front end of the adjustable seat button). However, mine seems to inflate vertically, rather than horizontally, as if the cushion had moved on top of the seat padding instead of in front of it.

Can anyone clarify please and if mine is going in the wrong direction, is it an easy fix, or does it need to go to a specialist and, if so, what sort?

Thanks in advance.

it is working correctly.

Only SLs, CLs and S classes have seats with extending seat bases.

Thank you!

On the orthopaedic seats in my 210 the bladder inflates forwards by around 40-50mm.
