Just wondered if first and foremost everyone was OK after the winds?

Fingers crossed the answer to that is yes, is everybody's property OK?

The wind was pretty mean, and with 7 fatalities, nothing to be made light of.

The Sun (I didn't buy myself  - honest) had a picture of a crushed Benz too. Driver escaped when an Oak tree struck. A shame some others were not so lucky.

EDIT: I hope everybody stayed at home safe, and didn't go to ICE GTGers or anything uncecessary like that.

Im ok!

Thanks Graham, all is well in the Black180 houshold <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Most trouble I had was avoiding flying objects, holding on to my fence, which nearly gave in but didn't and wondering if a down draught would blow my up and over garage door down with me half out!

The Merc in the Sun looks like a Gangsta mobile - do you reckon it was this low before the tree??

We followed a sprinter yesterday, which flipped when it went round a round-a-bout...

We were in our ML, didnt feel the wind much, but still drove cautiosly as things were flying!!

That merc is a early W124 with a zender bodykit, probably lowered before the tree hit it...

Our cars are fine - I was running start radio for one of the stages on the Tempest Rally and my wife was out shopping with a friend who was staying.

They got home to find a slate had come off the roof and through the back window of our friends Polo - hit the top of the hatch first, then the window, then continued down the hatch and bumper...... <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

First class service from Auto Windscreens who had her back on the road in just over an hour, and the insurance company have already approved the roof repair.

Now I've just got to clean all the mud off mine (a little sideways action <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> - got to check the radio operators were all in position - you know&#33<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> didn't half get some funny looks when a diesel estate covered in sh*t came through the stage!

fine here too, bit of the gararge roof came off, fence panel down and a cople of 3 foot trees missing.

No other damage, just a bit windy!

Have suffered a fair bit of damage to property. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/butbut.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':butbut:'>

My house is OK, but we have some outbuildings and barns that have been damaged. We have one large steel framed building that I hire out for classic car storage, part of the roof in one corner got 'sucked' out, luckily all the cars are OK. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Another very old dutch barn has been very battered, I have had a rope holding the roof down for some months. Sunday morning I saw that the rope had broken and the roof was flapping up and down 10ft or more. I tried to throw another rope over but it was hopeless in the wind. I was amazed that it didn't blow off completely, managed to get another rope over in the late afternoon, saved it for now.

Lot's of trees down across the roads, made driving to work a bit hazardous.

Is'nt it depressing getting dark so early? <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

All ok here <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Not so good in Rover land though <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

3 mates had their cars written off yesterday, including Andy N with the fastest FWD car in the country <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

A good friend had his car completely totalled and put 2 elderly people in hospital! - He has some nasty hand damage and had to get out of his car through the smashed T-Bar roof as the doors wouldnt open!

But everyone is alive and there are no serious injuries - as Andy said - Cars can be repaired/replaced with people its a lot harder!

I have heard he is now going to put the complete 418hp monster engine setup into a rover 200 <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> - as he can save 100kg and get better aerodynamics

Glad to hear that owners and Benz's are OK.

We were out early Sunday morning and things were pretty rough outside.  Trees down all over the place around Northwich etc.  Only trouble we experienced was that something bounced off the roof whilst coming home.  Just missed the windscreen and made a heck of a bang.  Strange thing is I couldn't find any damage to the roof when I got home.  Perhaps it hit the roof bars.  I guess we were very lucky compared to some.

Anyhow, its that time of year again when we should all be checking our lights and the condition of car batteries etc.  Role on Spring time  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sarcasm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sara:'>

A slate come off next doors roof and hit my E280 <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Damage is off-side rear door dented, trim damaged. Drivers door glass scratched and trims damaged. Neighbour is having difficulty getting through to his Insurance because of the high demand, but he was terribly apologetic. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I heard about this bloke, right. Anyway a slate comes off a house roof, falls down and misses his ear by ½ inch. Phew.

Trouble is, it cut the top of his head off. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

This has been my humble attempt at cheering Brian up with a topical joke.

I thang you.

Ha Ha Ha &quot;PLOP&quot;

Thats me laughing my head off.
I'm going round to see my neighbour this morning to start &quot;proceedings&quot; <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Well I think I had it best <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> , I flew to Alicanti on Saturday morning and had to drive a car (Rover 820) back to the UK for my sister's boyfriend (he drove a Transit diesel auto) &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> .

I arrived in sunny Spain @ 0900hrs, spent the day drinking and sunbathing.

On Sunday we left at 0700hrs for the 600mile drive to Bilbao.

Arrived at Bilbao at 1800hrs and then got lost for the first time trying to find hotel <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> .

Anyway we left the port on Monday at noon, only 1/2 hr late and we had sunshine until we were about 3 hours away from Portsmouth <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> . We docked at 1610hrs on Tuesday

The ferry trip was 29hrs, but we had a cabin and there was entertainment.

When I heard of the storms back here and was not looking forward to crossing but it was a very calm crossing &nbsp; <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/colgate.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':colgate:'> .

On the motorways in Spain though nearly every tenth car was a Merc' mainly E &amp; C's then 2x CL500's within 1 minute <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':alien:'>

Still I got some colour in my cheeks now <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/banana.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bannana:'>
