Car
Audi Q5 Vorsprung
Washed the car at the weekend and discovered this

SWMBO has no knowledge of hitting anything.
Looks like it has been reversed into by a tow ball, but it's much too low for that.................:dk:

Best price so far is from Chips Away who say they can get it out with a bit of heat, a bit of filler then some paint.

You might be able to pop it back with a hair dryer.

Still got creacke paint to deal with though.
Car is leased & goes back next spring - has to be in tip-top condition:doh:

SMART repairers vary enormously in their capabilities - some are absolute wizards while others err, aren't. Trouble is they all talk a good talk

You'll have to ask around and see who has a good reputation and comes with personal recommendations. If someone with a good reputation says they can make a good job of it then you're probably in safe hands, but it's worth talking with local bodyshops too.

The alternative is to suck up the charge when you return the car. In some cases this can actually be cheaper so it's worth checking out.

Could be the triangle shaped kerb/tree planters they seem to like in shopping store car park's....Pain in the ar5e if you ask me hope you get it straight at the price you want.

Tony.

Dont let Chips Away do it!!!!!
Had chips Away do my Audi S5 wing - made a right ******** of it!
Your local MB dealer will have a good Smart Repair firm who they use on a regular daily basis.
In fact a dent repair specialist may get that out if its not broken the paint?

I had Chips Away do a repair on my bumper a few years ago and they did a good enough job. The problem is they're a franchise and their capabilities vary enormously from one person to another.

That dent would pop out with a hair dryer for sure.

Then there is the crack in the paint. Given that it's very low down, plastic (so won't corrode) and could happen again, you could of course touch it up yourself and save £100. It depends how much it troubles you.

Being such a lovely car would not even consider Chips Away. You may be surprised how cheap it may be to get a proper repair done...

SMEESH....

Use a hairdryer but get it nice and warm then pop it back out push on the underside until it cools enough to hold its shape, Then get a lacquer touch up pen to seal off the crack to stop water getting behind it
I bet once u have it back into shape u won't even see the crack in the paint

Local chips away boys did a good job on number 2 sons bumper a year or 2 ago.
Guess it might be worth a call to local main dealer to see who they use

Poor access behind it - undertrays etc

As folk have said ChipsAway are only as good as the local operative, however my experience of ChipsAway was perfect, rear bumper repair, filler and paint job , on a silver car the paint match , repair and finish were absolutely perfect. £120

Well posters have covered all the points, without doubt get somebody to give you a personal recommendation for Dents Away,or Chips Away, the standards do vary the local guy around here I would not let loose on any car I owned .

I had similar damage repaired on an Alfa a couple of years ago by a proper body shop for £100.
