Out of office reply? How to Please.

How do I set my outlook express mail to reply with 'out of office until....' please?
Going to Germany until Monday so don't want to upset any customers.!!

Leave your PC on, Internet connected, Outlook Express open and create a rule to reply to all mail with a chosen template/text file.

This will only be as good as your spam filter though.............

Yes, but it only works when the PC is left on with OE running.

Why don't you just send eveyone in you address book an email telling them that you will be away then you wont have to worry!

Don't think you can do it with OE
OOO is a server side rule, and therefore needs a server (exchange/Domino)

And for those who DO have OOO, a tip if you forget to set it at work, is to use OWA (if configured) to set it from any internet connection.

Yes you need a Mail server if you want to get the Out of Office message with the PC off.
