Outlook 2007 error

"the messaging interface has returned an unknown error..."

When I start Outlook, it's set to auto send/receive and I get the above error; equally if I send/receive manually it returns an error.

Any ideas?

You may have to delete and recreate your profile. Make sure you empty your "deleted items" folder first. Good luck!

check the size of your local email store file *.pst, its limited to 2gb, if you go over it will soon lock and refuse access

does seem quite a common issue tho, with most resolving it by either deleting the profile, or reinstalling Office. always go for the easiest option first tho eh

My .pst file is 'only' 100mb or so, I think I'll reinstall Outlook anyway

Fixed

Used the scanpst.exe application (which is hidden) and it found corrupted data
