Or more precisely it's putting some emails from my safe senders list and from my contacts directly into the deleted emails folders.

I have set the Junk email options to automatically trust both the safe senders list and my contacts together with people I email, but some emails from these are still being treated as junk.

I'm using Outlook version 14 as part of Office Professional Plus 2010. I have two separate domains and it's happening to both of them. Can anybody shed some light on what may be happening and how I can stop it?

Are you also getting these emails on a mobile device?

If so, what device, what firmware version and what application are you using to get email on the device?

No, it's on a Windows 8 laptop only. I don't have a mobile device set up for emails.

I've also deleted a couple of rules (which couldn't have caught the wanted emails as far as I can see) but that hasn't made any difference.

Well some automated rule is moving them...spam would go to junk not deleted..

I would turn off all rules entirely and one by one add them again until you find the culprit.

It sounds like you have quite a number of rules.

I just had the two rules, one for LinkedIn and one for the PayPal scam 'receipt' for a watch I didn't buy.

I'll see how it goes with no rules set and the Junk Mail option set to no filtering at all.

Thanks for the replies.
