Overhead console - w211

As the nights are darkening I am not starting to think about a problem with the E class that I had been ignoring. It was the talk of alarms that got me wondering.

Our car has the Pano roof. The interior lights to the rear of the roof do not work, neither does the rear shade control. The rear reading lights do work.

I remember noticing an error moons ago while the car was on a STAR machine. Can't remember exactly what it was unfortunately but it definitely referred to the overhead console.

Is there anything I can check or is this going to be a specialist job?

Can't really help you but I noticed the other morning that my lights were not on either.

W211 with a Pan roof (still can't find the alarm sensor).

You have jogged my memory though to double check mine tonight to make sure they are OK.

David...are you sure that nobody has turned the lights down in the back by using the switch in the rear overhead console?

Is that what the switch does? I thought/presumed it controlled the share for the Pano Roof?

To close this disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery has fixed this.
