Overheating ?

Is it normal for the needle to creep over half way on the temp gauge?

I've not had my C240 long but the bonnet seems to get really quite hot and the fan is not on all the time.
It does kick in eventually though.

Am I being paranoid or is this normal ?

yes it is. especially in standing traffic. quite normal

On my cars on the road the needel is on teh 80ºC marc. In trafic it goes to 95ºC. C180 and C200 Kompressor...

my car goes around 80 - 95 in traffic and i have been told that this is ok...
