P0244 error code

Feel sick as a dog.... 4 times back to dealer. At first the code was p0299 (low turbo boost). The last time they looked at it they replaced the turbo... I get it back tonight and all is good for 80 minutes... Then I get limp mode again. New code now reads p0244 ( turbo solenoid performance)..
I'm at the end of my teather!!

Turbo/Super Charger Wastegate Solenoid "A" Range/Performance


What does this mean?

OBD Code P0244refers to
The PCM monitors the supercharger (boost) bypass (SCB) solenoid circuit for an electrical failure. The test fails when the signal moves outside the minimum or maximum allowable calibrated parameters for a specified SCB solenoid duty cycle (100% or 0%) by PCM command.
Symptoms

Possible sumptoms of OBD code P0244
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
Causes

Possible causes of OBD code P0244
- VPWR circuit open to SCB solenoid. - SCB solenoid circuit shorted to PWR GND or CHASSIS GND. - Damaged SCB solenoid. - SCB solenoid circuit open. - SCB solenoid circuit shorted to VPWR. - Damaged
Possible Solutions

Disconnect SCB solenoid. Connect test lamp to SCB solenoid harness connector. Cycle SCB driver in PCM by Output Test Mode. Test lamp cycle on and off - SCB solenoid is suspect. Test lamp always on - SCB signal short in harness or PCM. Test always off - SCB signal or VPWR open in harness or PCM.

Thanks... I've had a couple of beers and calmed down a bit... Only a bit !

I am considering and probably will ask for my money back tomorrow. They've had ample time to rectify. It might be something small but I am worried this list of problems could continue for months ( most worryingly, after any warranty period).

Well I hope you stick around the forum and eventually get to see what a Mercedes without problems can be like.

I bet the dealer is desperate to for you to keep the car as well:D
