P026646 fault code help

Hi there,

I bought my 12 plate C class blueefficiency back in October and all was well until the EML came on and it threw up the following error code “p0266” along with the glow plug light. Recoded the fuel injectors and replaced the plugs and all seemed well.

however after driving on the motorway (approx 70/75mph for 50 miles) the EML came on again. Used a different OBD which gave the code “p026646”- teach in of the operating parameters has a malfunction in cylinder 2.

I don’t know a lot about cars but just wondering if anyone has had any similar issues and what could be possibly causing it? I’ve been fobbed off by the garage I bought the car from who keep clearing the code and telling me they’ve fixed it and now I just want a solution.

You need a Mercedes specialist , or Mercedes itself to run a diagnostic test , but depending on the cost of the repair it’s worth brushing up on your consumer rights and how to deal with the selling dealer to make them pay for the repair .
