Hi all,
My partners car recently started showing the engine management light on. Plugging it in the only fault that comes up is:
P02A3 - cylinder 3, fuel trim at minimum limit
Now I've tried to look into what this could be and there seems to be a vast number of things it could be. We've tried taking off the fuel cap and putting it back on (which I read was a possible cause?) but other things include O2 sensor, injector, MAF/MAP sensor and numerous wiring harness issues.
There is no change in performance, it's not in limp mode (as in it will go past 2500rpm whilst driving). In neutral though it doesn't rev past 2500rpm, is that a safety feature.
I tried to reset it the first time and it said it had failed but when she drove it next the light was off. It's back on again now and seems to want to stay on.
Has anyone else had this same code and what steps did you take? I know we could take it to a garage but I'm just trying to identify what the likely problem is.
Thanks,
Gary
