Vaneo WDB 414700 - CAN bus fault P0600 - cannot communicate with the Auto Module A61. MIL and BAS/ESP lights.
Clear and it comes straight back. Car stuck in Limp mode 2nd gear.
MB specialist has also checked and its possibly going to be a long hunt to locate the issue so I am stripping out the trim to access the main wiring and carry out initial checks on whatever I can including ground points. battery is good hardly drop voltage when starting. So first off trying to locate where the CAN cables come together on Z37/2 and Z37/3 connector sleeve - engine compartment, and in a different place Z37/4 and Z37/5 connector sleeve interior.

Removed the glove box, trim and floor covering to expose what I believe to be the engine compartment sleeve where the ESP module is located with some relays. Access from both engine and interior. Have not unbolted from the inside yet but looking at this assembly I cannot see any single plugs that look like a CAN distribution BUS.

I know that I will probably have to get to the Auto box connector which is located right at the bottom behind panels of some type just to test from there.

Any assistance on locations of the connectors and any easy way to get to the areas/components required.

Thanks in advance

Peter

Update.
I was incorrect as the A61 is the Gear Selector in the console.
Cannot communicate with the Front Transmission Control Module (FTC) (Y3/7n2)
Removed the panels under the Instrumant panel and the top from the Instrumant cluster. Still no visibility of where all of the CAN cables come together at the Z37 connection.

This is the wiring diagram reference I am trying to physically locate.
What does this symbol mean?

I am still looking for assistance in locating the connector Z37 where the CAN Bus wires from each module come together.
The Designation for
Z37/2 : CAN engine bus (low) connector sleeve - engine compartment
Z37/5: Engine CAN bus (high) connector sleve - interior

Are the above descriptions the same Sleeve that goes between the engine and iterior and houses the ESP module just written up differently. I have access to both sides of this sleeve but still cannot see any connectors that are normally used.

I am expecting to find something like this with green/green-white wires

Really struggling to move forward on this.
