I'd be grateful for some views on this problem please gents.
The EML light came on on Christmas Eve after about 100 miles on the M6/M1, and stayed on for a couple of days, but has now gone off. It's booked in for attention at local MB dealers in a couple fo weeks. A bit of digging around tells me its a sensor in the exhaust, so could this be due to the DPF being a bit blocked? I do plenty of motorway miles, where I'd expect it to regenerate without any issues, but could this system not be working properly? No1 son suggests dropping a few gears the next time we're on a good run to get the exhaust good and hot and see if it clears the DPF, but how do you tell if it does it or not?
Finally the Adblu could be a bit low, could that effect it?
The car is a 2015, so now out of warranty.
Thanks in advance.

The DPF pressure sensor loves to fail on these engines. Italian tune up is pretty much a waste of time if the EML light comes on or is on.
These cars will regenerate the DPF at less than 2000 rpm and restart a regen if the car stops or the parameters aren't met during a regen cycle.
If it's the pressure sensor, it's an easy fix, £60-80 part, one hours labour.
Good luck [emoji106]
