Pace car spec CLK55

The last one of these i saw was at specialist trader in London for £16k over 2 years ago.

Are there engine mods made on the car as a CLK55 is a low 5sec to 60mph at best not a sub 5sec as he is stating

and at that price I'd try and find a W209 CLK55 convertible

No engine mods IIRC, they are delimited and (i think) have altered gear ratios.

Most of the cost goes on the flared bodywork to accomodate the 18's.

Maybe just his then, I had a CLK430 W208 from new in 2001 and that did some funny things with the seats not responding but sorted under warranty..

Maybe just bad luck

Nothing wrong with my electrics ( blue or red car ) ... perhaps your mates car was a lemon ?

Can't judge all 208's by the faults of one.
