Hi, i've got an M reg E250 diesel that needs a new bumper fitting. It is a facelift W124 model. The damage is a smashed front bumper insert and also the tow hook cover is missing. I've got a second hand bumper from ebay but need to paint it to match. I'm hoping to do it myself but was looking for advice on what paint to use or any links to good books or web sites that could help.

Any help is much appreciated.

You need plasticised etch primer and plasticising paint additive to allow the paint to flex.

If you don't have a compressor it's probably not worth doing this yourself.
Take your bumper into a good bodyshop and pay cash for the cheapest quality job.

In that case Hex holdings should be able to supply the required paint.
