When painting a wheel arch inner lip with hammerite, when is the right time to remove the masking tape? Let it dry totally, or pull it off carefully whislt still tacky? TIA

when its still tacky and why are you painting your inner wheelarch lips
with Hammerite ?

The lips will be covered with trim, filled and sealed with Bilt Hamber S50 and special sealant to prevent moisture being trapped. Thanks for the masking tape advice Clive

Ok, if you have corrosion on the inner lips use the acid first then phosphate treatmemt, and coat them with Rustbuster epoxy primer it will stop miosture
from getting to the treated surface, dont use hammerite to seal it please
it do's not work trust me

Remove the tape as soon as you finish painting.
