I have just sent away for some paint for my gals from Touch Up Paint Factory, my understanding is that it has given some good results on paint chips. I don't have any personal experience of using it myself, but am happy to give it a try on the recommendation of others and I thought I would share the news here as at the moment there is a 15% discount available with the May bank holiday offer.

I know some folks prefer to buy the original paint products and that's fine of course, but for those that are happy to go with a compatible as it were like myself, I think it is worth a punt, and today I managed to save a few bob as a nice brucie bonus in the process.

TOUCH UP PAINT FACTORY PAINT - 3 .jpg

I paid by PayPal and was interested to note that the recipient of payment was actually CHIPEX LIMITED, makes no difference, but just surprised me a bit that's all.

Similar sort of format on the website so I'm thinking has to be the same paint, but as long as it does the job, who cares right?

Hi what is it you actually want to know
I don't actually want to know anything Bigdrew, although having said that always interested in hearing members thoughts on or around a topic in a thread, or even if wandering off at a tangent for that matter, so appreciate you asking, thank you.

I put this thread up to share the news that the Touch Up Paint Factory have what I considered to be a good discount going over this B/H.

Another thing was that I thought both Touch Up Paint Factory (TUPF) and CHIPEX were under the same umbrella as it were: I had been aware of the latter company but not the former, probably just one of those useless bits of info. but it surprised me all the same, at the time of paying the bill.

I had recently heard good things about TUPF, so I guess no harm in sharing that too I reckon, but I will be better able to comment on this when I have trialed the paint myself.

Paint chips ...

I tried this... won't be doing it again... they tasted horrible.

Could be too much dirt left on 'em, a good APC will sort that out 👍

Really? I'll take it with a grain of salt.
Absolutely, don't worry about all those do gooders, Sodom, Lot's a salt never did me any harm, so long as I keep taking the pills, all much Ado about nothing I say.

I have used both TUPF and chipped very satisfactorily, on my silver car. Both got the paint the right colour and consistency, so I would go ahead. If the chip is very visible, do it properly with rubbing down between coats.

Ah that interesting and helpful, thank you for that 👍
