Anyone got a good pic of a car in (1996 year) Paint Code 189 Emerald green black metallic (Smaragdsschwarz)? I want to know what it's like

Is it darker than Tourmaline Green?

Pics in members gallery - link in signature - will try to get a better photo but i really doubt it will come out properly. The car is 2000 but I assume pretty much same colour.

Can't help with the comparison over another colour I am afraid - it is really dark though!

Thanks guys - so it's darker and bluer than Tourmaline Green. Very nice!

I've had quite a few Tourmaline Green estates and really like the colour but some people still don't like green, perhaps because it used to be seen as unlucky

If anyone has any pics in summer sunlight I'd love to see them

GreenBlack, is basically a very metallic Black, it goes on the log book as being Black.
I know what you mean about Tormaline, I liked the colour but the car was quite hard to sell jjust because of the colour.

I have MOT certificates stating the car's colour as "blue", "green" and "black"

You guys must spend a long time looking for cars that nice! E320 Sportline 5-speed coupe with 70k, leather & climate? Can't be arguing with that. CLK looks nice too, something I've never said before!

I'm beginning to get the W124 Coupe bug, which is worrying. I've always liked the Cabrios but have resisted the temptation so far. Saloons (of anything) have never rung my bell

But I saw a new SLK in dark metallic blue in Brighton yesterday. Encrusted with filth, at dusk, Xenons on. Oh dear, I've just found a modern car I really like!

Mine's "green black". Depending on the light it can look green, black, deep blue or even slightly purple. Really suits the car IMHO.

I was wrong. My car is Blue Black, even though it doesn't look it (to me)

I was convinced it was Green Black.

But it isn't.
