Hi guys, my car is done really have finished up all the things i want to do on it and are very pleased :)

However the car is showing a little bit of it's 12 year age with the paint work.

Is there a procedure that can totally re-vamp the paintwork of the car that is not a re-spray.

I love to be able to ask for locations where i can get this done, but yeh not in the UK.

So is there a "procedure" a paint work place does that can totally make the paint shine again and fix up all those crappy scratches?

Thank You

i tried to go in there once but they didn't open the door :(

I see you've joined detailingworld!!

If you actually dress as Crazyjester then I can understand their reluctance to open the door....:D

Probably doesn't visit MBClubUK - I only found the thread by chance on the DW site.

Options (not mutually exclusive)

* Machine polish at a local bodyshop.

* Treat poor patches with a paint restorer from one of the cleaning-products companies (e.g. Autoglym Paint Renovator), then apply polish (e.g. Autoglym Super Resin Polish or Ultra Deep Shine), then finish with multiple coats of sealant (e.g. Autoglym Extra Gloss protection).

* Get deep scratches and similar dealt with by one of the specialist companies (e.g. Chips Away, Dentmaster, etc.).

yes i guess i need a good polish, i just use the basic stuff.

I love my paint better give it a better looking after :)

If your up for a full day of hardwork then you should wash and Tcut the car then get hold of some Collinite 915 wax as it has high levels of carnauba wax in it and with buff your car up to an excellent shine, you can get the pots off ebay shops such as elit car care for around £22-£25, i'm sure there are retailers nearer to you that will also sell it.
Hope this helps a little.

no not t cut !!!

Things have really moved on , get a decent detailer and tell him you want some correction done , there are some really good products around nowadays which will sort most defects and are nowhere near as harsh as t-cut but you need to know what you are doing with them
