Hi folks,

The engine bay on my car is fairly tidy, given the cars age of 13 years. However, the silver "Mercedes-Benz" lettering on the rocker cover looks like crap, and I am thinking about taking it off and restoring the lettering to the original silver on black colour.

Any ideas what I should be using for this? Has anybody done it?

Thanks in advance,

Ant (back from abroad)

Hi Bloodmon,

I seem to recall one of the other members here painted their cover blue, only I can't remember who :( Sorry, I think they also had fairly open access to a paintshop or plastic coaters. Have you tried a search on the forum? Failing that I think Koolvin may remember the member in question as he was looking to paint his engine cover too. I think your rocker cover maybe more involved too as the actual cover is painted whereas the item I remember was a plate that fixed to the engine top.

I know mine is just a piece of plastic that clips to the top of the engine.
