anyone know how to adjust the parking brake to make it tighter, goes almost to the floor and barely holds, due an MOT shortly.

Thanks kel

The adjuster is inside the brake drum on the rear wheels. Remove each wheel in turn, line up the adjuster with the hole in the drum and turn with a screwdriver till the wheel wont turn then back it off so it spins free. The shoes dont usually wear out as they are only applied to a stationary drum.
But it sounds as though with that much travel you may have a streched cable that needs replacing.

Thanks Ray, will try that, is the adjuster hard to spot through the hole ?
