Hi guys,

The other day: got from the jet wash and 2 red beeping lights when reverse( rear parking sensors.)
Troubleshooted, seems the parking sensor number 9 faulty (low voltage). Tried to clean the connectors and place it back, funny enough it goes okay for few seconds up to a minute and then red lights again.

Unfortunately, I accidentally ripped off the sensor bracket. Tbh it was a bit of loose already....

My questions:

1. Can you just glue the sensor bracket back? if yes please suggest a product.
2. I have in total 12 sensors front 6 back 6, can you confirm that i am correct and the sensor 9 is the one off on the pictures.

Big thanks,

I'd use something like araldite . It sets fairly quick.

My rear center left sensor has a short, I switched out the sensor but error is still there, what would you recommend? Blindspot detect still works so I don't think it's the module. I switched the sensor out for one on the outer edge and everything still works fine. Should I try to replace the wiring?

I would say the missing one is sensor number 10? Think you count 1-6 on front bumper, then 7-12 from left to right on rear bumper as you look at the rear. So the one you have removed is number 10, no?!

Not sure mate, haven’t done anything yet to confirm. From what found, if you looking at the rear you read from right to left as going all around the car. Based on that logic, got it out, just wanted some confirmation from someone who actually knows and had similar problem. 😂 Will strip the bumper later on the week to do the job.

Its easy to tell which one is faulty. Put the car in reverse and place tyour hand in front of one sensor at a time.....if working correctly you will hear a very faint clicking....no sound?....she's dead Jim!

Good to know, happy to be wrong. The diagnosis thing I have just says ‘front centre left’ etc.
