2005 E320 CDi W211. Card stood all last week, frequently covered in snow. Now the big thaw is here, I took her out today. Problem with front parking sensor(s). As I slow down, approaching a standstill, front sensor alarm comes on, with constant tone. All red lights illuminate. After then driving away, this false alarm ceases until next time I stop. Occasionally, it will itself switch the system off, but not always.
I can always switch the system off myself, but then I’d have no front sensors. As it is ......... they don’t work when active, but when someone walks in front of the car. Rear ones seem to be OK.
Any ideas anyone ? I suppose the Beast from the East is to blame !

It needs to go on star, either a connection or sensor issue.
Same thing on my E class wagon, it was the rear outer sensor causing the error.

I had this in the snow and ice last week. Seems to have sorted itself out now things have warmed up a bit, just drive it a bit and see what happens they may be full of water.

spray and clean with wd40 and wait for warm weather , might sort themselves out. ??

All sorted. A few days of warmer weather seems to have done the trick.
Moral of the story ......... be patient, especially with older vehicles, like mine.
