Parktronic malfunction

Can any one give me advise, just bought e class 270 cdi avantgarde 2004.
Have the two red lights on both rear and front parktronic system. The book says to clean and retry, but no joy. The system was working well since i bought the car.

Mine has just failed on me, but it only happens when it is raining. I am going to be taking off the sensors and drying them out, then adding some dielectric compond to the plugs.

I've seen posts explaining that the sensor housing fails and water damages the sensor. Cleaning plugs may not be sufficient but does not harm trying.
