Hi,
I have a 2007 w204 C280. Some time ago my parktronic failed with the dreaded 4 red leds and audible buzz before switching itself off. I have checked all wires for breakages from the control module to each sensor and all are good. I have tried another control module, replaced several sensors and checked voltage supply to each sensor (all in excess of 8 volts) but without joy.
I was about to give up when I discovered that if I shift the automatic gear lever to drive from park quickly, the front sensors work correctly. As soon as I shift from drive to neutral the leds light up red, audible buzz then the parktronic switches itself off.
If I move the gear shift slowly, as soon as reverse is selected from park, I get the fault.
Is there a switch anywhere on the gear shift or gearbox that tells the parktronic to turn itself on when either reverse or drive is selected.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue.
Please can anyone help as it's driving me mad but I won't give up.
Thanks.

If you don't want to use it at all pull the wires off from the on off switch.
