Parktronic vs Taurus Plastic Bumper Reversing Aid

I did enquire at my local delaership last week about fitting Parktronic to my S320 (1999). the parts man checked on his PC but he could not find any. He concluded that retro-fitting of Parktronic is not possible...is that true?
