My Parktronic has stopped working on my S211 2003, I had a look underneath the car and have lost a section of the undertray at the front right of the car.
I think when this went it took a sensor with it!
I have managed to take a picture up into the bumper area and think that there should be a box where the arrow is on this picture.(Just realised the arrow is very small and balck!)

If there should be a box here then it should attach to something somewhere!

Does anyone have and exploded wiring diagram for this?

Have you actually got a hole in your bumper flash where the sensor used to be? The sensor is a push-fit in the bumper - from behind - as I recall.

Also, from your photo, if the sensor has been ripped off somehow, I would expect to see an end of the wiring going to it somewhere in evidence?

The bumper flash still has the sensor cover on it so no hole, I cant see any wiring that is the problem.
There is limited vision in there so I was hoping for an idea of what should be there!

The only way to tell what censor is faulty is to connect the car to STAR dignostics and look for codes .

If there isn't a hole, then there must be something in it - i.e. a parking sensor! They are pretty much a one-piece deal, and clip in from behind, so you must still have the sensor in place.

The photo shows the cavity forward of the front o/s wheel? So there will be the main bumper beam (which I think is the curved piece in the centre of your photo) and all of the bumper moulding and its constituent parts will be forward of this. Can't be behind! Therefore I suggest that it would be unlikely to be able to see any Parktronic equipment from here. I'm sure I read here somewhere that you can't access the sensors from behind - you have to remove the bumper moulding to gain access?

The control unit for the parktronic is not mounted behind the front bumper , it is located in the boot area to the left beside the rear SAM ( where the fuses are ) . Have you looked for damage on the censors ? a stone chip can damage one ,

Have a look at this - part number 430 is the string of front sensors.

I don't believe you can have lost any parts. Well, not Parktronic ones at least...

Thanks for that Corned, I just needed to know what I was looking for! I can get my hand in to the bumper skin so can have a feel around.

just had 2 of mine stolen.

they clip in from rear of bumper and a loom plugs onto the rear of each of them. if you have no cabling plugged to rear of sensor then it wont be working. my loom was left by the vandals so only needed the sensors themselves.

got mine replaced and painted for around £60 from a mb specialist........not a dealer who wanted double that.
