CLK 220 cdi W209
Hi

I am looking to add bluetooth and id connectivity to my CLK 220 cdi (2008) and have settled on the parrot ski 9200.

I have the bog standard Audio 20 (no cd changer or phone connection in armrest).

I am fairly competent and have installed parrot systems in previous cars so feel fairly confident with the facia removal etc. My question is. Do I need any further adapters or will it simply plug in to the Audio 20.

Has anyone else had this installed and can you offer any advice.

Thanks

Have installed a few on other marques. If the audio 20 has iso connectors it is straightforward, almost plug and play. If it has a quadlock or fakra style connector then an adapter to iso will be needed. This is provided there isn't an amplifier (normally HK set up) present. Either way though, you will need to take an ignition live feed from somewhere as there won't be one present. Cig lighter is the normal the easiest /nearest.

Not ISO - its Quadlock, and you'll need a fully populated one. And, as Bob6600 says (a) if you have Harmon Kardon this won't work and (b) you need to connect the switched feed up to a switched feed (such as cigarette lighter).

Fakra is the aerial connector - no worry when doing a Parrot kit, and issue if fitting an aftermarket stereo.

You could consider an integrated system retrofit so you get to use the keypad on stereo and steering wheel controls, and if you lose your CDC (if you have one) then you can have iPod and/or Bluetooth Audio streaming. Take to Mercedes Retrofit Specialist - Comand.co.uk

Cheers

Cheers Bob.

Mine is completely bog standard. know what iso set up is like until i take it out. I've been doing a bit of digging online and recon i may need a SOT-976. Thanks for the reply

Thanks Richard, reckon ill just have to take it out and see whats in behind.

Thanks for the advice

It is a Quadlock behind there. So you need a SOT lead. I'm pretty sure a SOT976 is correct, but please check with your supplier.

You'll have to move the sub-connectors from the existing connector to the new connector on the SOT lead or your AUX (or if MY2009 phone microphone and AUX) won't work any more

Richard
