Parts no longer made

I have a Clk a208 convertible 3.2 ,2002.
looking for a bracket which holds the light level sensor rod.part number a2083280240.
been told it’s no longer available.does anyone know where I can get one,or the dimensions so I can get one made.

When I had my W201 I often found that Mercedes at Poole were helpful. Apparently their stores specialise in legacy parts so may just have access to the part you need.

The only contact I have for them is 01202 902057 though not over sure if this still works. Worth a try I suppose...

This is becoming a BIG problem. Mercedes have discontinued a lot of parts lately, and I’m very unhappy about it. Stuff you’d call recent too. I needed a driver’s door window switch for a 2010 SLK this week. Yup, no longer available

I spoke to the Poole people the other day regarding bits for my R129. The classic parts guy has gone, they have some parts but all parts are now “on the system “ and available from any MB parts counter. Got my parts from the guys in Portsmouth, they are Marshals whereas Poole is Sandown..
Quite a few parts are now no longer listed or made so need to be sourced elsewhere..

Looks like that is the latest part number on EPC, and Mercedes-Benz Classic don't list it either. I know M-B Poole are indeed the UK's main Classic outlet, unless they have a NOS one on the shelf you may be out of luck. Worth a try though.

Have you tried Dronsfield Mercedes? They're a specialist breaker.

Its a right PITA to try and run a business when this happens.
