passenger ride in CLS AMG at MB World Brooklands..wow!

ha my car would look like a puppy against your beast vehicles - id be getting lapped for fun!:p

It's often more fun in a car that's moderately powered as you can get closer to your limits without being scared senseless... I've been overtaken by a Suzuki Swift in heavy rain on a circuit and was more than happy to let him go whilst the guy in the 348 ahead of me wasn't and ended up in the infield.

They are great days out, but accidents can (and do) happen - easier to relax in someone else's car too :-)

Had a 30 min driving experience the other week, was a fantastic wake-me-up in the middle of an 8hr round trip to exchange my car. What amazed me was that these guys don't know you or your ability, yet sit calmly talking you further and further beyond your comfort zone, and all they have is their own brake pedal. All very well being confident of the car's ability, but the track is quite narrow and in some sections very close to barriers, so misjudging the driver's ability could be costly. Hell, even I wouldn't be prepared to be the passenger when I'm driving under those circumstances (if you see what I mean). Def recommend paying the bit extra for the CDW if doin a track-based experience.

there's only 1 space left, as of last Friday.[/QUOTE]

Are you going?

still thinking about it, but unlikely now since all the interest generated on this thread :)

I only managed 130mph on the back straight :)

:-) I find that watching the speedo nudge 135mph rather than looking for the breaking point is never a good idea; I know a few good drivers who can take some of the corners 30mph faster than me and make it look very easy!

I sometimes think I'd have more fun thrashing the smart around and I'd never be at risk of a 100mph+ 'off' in it :-)
