Has anyone had any issue where the warning light/noise comes on for the passenger seatbelt to be fastened when in fact there is no one or nothing on the seat?
The thing is it doesn't happen all the time, just now and again. It happens sometimes when someone has been in my passenger seat the day before.
I have a W203 C Class Coupe.
Any help/advice would be great.

Hi. Just seen your post. I too have a W203 C Class Coupe, and I get a similar thing on the drivers seat. I get the light/noise at random times when I'm driving, then it just comes and goes. Tried unclipping the seat belt and refastening - made no difference.

Would this be something to do with the wiring under the seat - could something have got knocked and come loose?

possibly the occupancy sensor pressure pad.
its fitted between the seat cover and foam base.
