Hi- I have the C200 EQ Boost and have noticed ,only when my son sits in the pax seat that it has an annoying 'squeek' He only weighs about 11stone -has anyone else had /have this problem and is it a big job to fix? Thanks

I had the same squeeky noise on my C200 front passenger seat and it was the seat belt connector, for want of a better word, rubbing on the side of the seat.

It depends where it's coming from.

I would get someone to drive while your son is in the passenger seat and from the back seat get a close look at the seat mech and give it a lever, twist to see if it goes. You might have to be upside down to do this. And then grease the relevant part.

Could THIS be the issue ?

that was exactly the same thought I had about this old and when I read the post!

So did you find out what was squeaking or what!

Bearing in mind the above period era advert, his son will presumably be Gen Z......
,,,, could it be that he's found out about " his son's piercing, that's not generally on display" & he REALLY doesn't want to discuss it on here ?

Mine was also the seat belt buckle connector rubbing on the seat. Felt tape sorted it

In all seriousness , please forgive my little bit of humour earlier in this thread : I was just trying to lighten the mood , not to poke fun at you .

I'm guessing your car is still relatively new ( at least compared to any of mine it will be ) , do you still take it to an official M-B dealer for servicing ? If so , and in line with Black C55's suggestion , might I suggest you take the car into your dealership , with your son present in the passenger seat , and get one of their technicians to come out in the car , with YOU driving , and demonstrate the issue to them , and ask him to diagnose the cause .

If your car is a little bit older , and you now get a reputable independent place to look after it for you , the same advice still applies - take the car in , with your son present , and demonstrate the issue .

As a preliminary to either issue , while you are driving , can you get your son to capture the noise on a video recording ? Maybe you can share the video with whichever place you would be taking the car into , so they can perhaps have some ideas ?

If the place where your car is still looked after is also the place you bought it from , I'd suggest that might give you a little more leverage ...

Had this issue on my last car and I did exactly that, felt taped it and no more rubbing lol
